20"...guessing around 7#'s, will check here in a bit...book says rifle itself at 6#'s (?)

already have a .243 and a 270wsm, so neither of those...(no .308 either )

Very nice rifles, I have it's twin. Been looking for one in .270 for years, very hard to find.

I have owned one of these since early 90s. It carries like a 22. Out west I use 180 grain old Nosler Solid Bases and they knock elk right down.
In MI, I use 150s.
Never saw a gain in performance of the 165s over these two weights.
I do suggest some bedding in the barrel and action areas to help keep the skinny barrel shooting straight for two or three rounds. Although I have never needed more than one for deer and elk.
One of my two GO TO guns.
Someone needs to buy this.

Dang nice gun have 3 of them in .250 savage.

hunting seasons about here so back up for sale...shoots 150 rem corelocks or 150 fed fusions @ 1.5"...presently sighted in with the fusions...havent tried any reloads
