Trying to fund a project for me and the kids, so this fine rifle is up for sale now as well. This is an original Wickliffe Rifle Model 76 Deluxe in .22-250. This is a falling block rifle with a nice walnut stock with nickel-silver grip cap and some rich deep blueing, the receiver has the reddish tint to the blueing that was typical of Wickliffe rifles. The breech block is jeweled and the trigger is adjustable. Has a nice heavy barrel with the original mounts and the original Weaver K10-1 Duplex scope with an adjustable objective. The rifle was purchased from the estate of a family friend. The scope has been on the rifle since at least the early 80s, if not since he bought the rifle in the 70s. He used it for local bench rest matches back in the day. I only fired it once and shot a descent 3 shot group without a rest. It's been in the cabinet ever since, as it was before I bought it. The serial # is 006XX, so it's an earlier piece. The metal is in great shape. There are a few nicks and scratches in the wood, mostly on the the underside of the forearm, and a small bit of damage at the rear sling stud. The bore is bright and shiny and the rifling looks good. The Standard Catalog of Firearms shows a value of $1250 in very good condition, $900 in good condition. I'm asking $900 shipped. To me this rifle is in better than good condition, but I'll let you be the judge after seeing the pictures. Please feel free to PM me if you'd like more pictures or to make an offer. Thanks
