There was a .358 BLR there for $355 when I posted this.
These are some of the least expensive donors that I currently know of:
CDNN has Marlin XS7s in either 243 or 7mm08 for $270/$280.
CDNN also has Ruger American rifles in 308 for $299.
Whittaker's has Howa 1500s in either 243 or 7mm08 for $330.
Wal-Mart has 700 ADL youth guns in 243 for $380.
I have a 783 Remington I'd sell reasonably cheap. Less than 20 rounds down the barrel.
But you can buy the same at Walmart.

I'd also agree. If you're not tied to a certain action, I'd recommend something that you can get a pre-fit barrel for and call it a day.
