I need a bunch of dental work and some medical tune up, so this and some other guns will go.

The gun has had some nice refurbishing in Germany and is as tight as a 1950's Westinghouse.

It's scoped with a great Zeiss 1.5-6 in claw mounts. Proofed in 1953, so it was made the first year Sauer resumed production after the War by pre-war craftsmen.

$2250.00 plus shipping costs.

up
This one of the very first post war guns and has a different type extractor. It has the pre-war type without the split to raise the rifle round higher.

The gun has been re-blackened, a nitride treatment done to the receiver, and had some minor cheek scallop cracks fixed and reinforced...a very nice job, so that won't ever be an issue as is common on these, especially in the 8X57JRS and later 9,3X74R guns.

The scope is excellent and has the usual German 3-post ret. The Shuler mounts are tight and appear to be new AKAH mounts.

It has the original butt plate, very nice dark wood, and sharp fine line checkering.

It's worth $2,500-$2,600, as "S" bores are much better for reloading and not as common. These S-bores are comparable to the original 30-06 loading.
On Hold at present
Is gun still for sale or is it on hold?

Where will the gun be shipped from?

$2,200.00 shipped.
"Move In" ready... grin

It looks nicer in person. The photos don't do it justice. The scope is excellent. Since changing scopes on drillings requires master gunsmiths who know how, that's a Major plus.
