Up for sale is a ruger Hawkeye stainless and laminate spitter barrel rifle in 308. I bought this rifle from a member here. He claimed it to be new. I can't confirm that but I have never shot it. Comes with stainless ruger rings. $505 shipped to your ffl from an individual. I will try to get pictures up later.

I sold this rifle to spook 1 and I bought it new and unfired, it sat in the safe for a couple years and finally needed to be gone to free up some safe space.

My box is cleared out. Sorry about that. The rifle probably is brand new. I wasn't meaning I didn't think it was. Rgrx1276 was great to deal with. I actually picked this up to hunt in Kentucky with my grandpa. His health isn't going to allow him to hunt anymore. And we can't use tapered rifle cases here in Ohio so I won't be using it.

Based on rgrx1276's original ad, I believe you'll find this is a sporter with 22" barrel.

I wasn't sure if "spitter" barrel was a typo for "sporter" or a nickname for a short barrel! So I went to the Ruger web site and didn't see a Hawkeye with 22" barrel AND a laminate stock...only saw the Compact with a laminate stock. Hence the question. Thanks.

As best as I can tell, it's not current production. And I had to go digging through the original sellers old posts to find the ad and a picture. I believe Ruger made them like this a couple years back. Anyhow, when the OP comes back online we'll know for sure.
