Several members have bought some of the Remington, Encore and Howa stocks that I have had listed here. Several have asked me to paint their personal stocks, which I have done.
In light of the ongoing requests I have decided to offer this service to the good members here.
The paint I use is not Duracoat. It is just a normal inexpensive ( compared to Duracoat ) oil based paint. It takes a week to fully cure. I've had feedback from members that externally it wears fairly well. Internally, since I can't sand all the nooks and crannies some will chip with time. However, for a nice doll up the ugly black plastic, it's hard to beat.
So here's the deal.
For one stock: $55 which includes return shipping and insurance.
Second stock: $40
Third stock: $45
More than three: contact me for special rates.
Here are a few pictures to start.

If I don't recognize your number I won't answer the first time. Too many robo calls.
Leave a message and I'll call back.

My 22-250 has never looked so good. I wish I had more plastic stocks for him to do.

I have 4 stocks done by Johnboy, he does a excellent job and quick turn around.

Many thanks to all my campfire friends who have either bought stocks, or allowed me to paint theirs. Thank y'all for the confidence and compliments. I just did a lavender one for a lady who responded to one of my postings. I'll post a picture when it's dry.

Do you do cammo patterns like GAP? I've got a boat paddle Ruger stock I'd like to get painted after the season is over.
Posted By: John_Boy Re: Stock Painting - 01/07/17
Working on gap camo. Stencil issues for now. I'll be trying a pattern when it warms up enough. I'll post then. Working on tiger stripe also.

I would be interested in getting my daughters youth 700 done in a Gap pattern when you get it figured out.
Posted By: John_Boy Re: Stock Painting - 01/21/17
Bump.
GAP most likely won't happen.
Too much labor, tape etc.
I'm trying to keep a reasonable price on this since most of what I do is on inexpensive synthetic stocks.

I just received my stock back from John. I had asked him to refinish it with a matte black and a grey/silver webbing. I had requested not too heavy on the webbing, that's just my taste. He absolutely nailed it, I couldn't be any happier. Here are a few photo's of the work I received. next I am sending the barrel and action off to be cerakoted matte black and have the barrel fluted.

John_Boy - WOW...my eyes!!! Nice paint jobs BUT do you offer sunglasses when you paint such vivid colors like the yellow and neon pink? On the other hand, you'll never misplace them at camp...Homesteader

Just got this one back. It's exactly what I wanted color-wise. John Boy "nailed it", as the above poster said. Plus it was back in my hands in a couple of weeks. That's pretty quick turn-around. And all that for $55.00, including shipping. I'm a happy dude.
