Just in time for upcoming turkey season. New truck and new baby so it's time to clean a few things out. Had intentions of using this but probably won't make it out this year. Remington 870 Special Purpose 12 gauge 3 inch. 23 inch barrel with special purpose turkey choke. 450 shipped.

Choke marked .665
Is the choke removable?

Thanks
Russell
New, used, or condition? What area of central TX ? I'm interested!
Removable choke. Used, but as you can imagine more field and cleaning wear than shooting. You can only shoot so many turkey loads. I'm in Round Rock.
Thanks! That's about 3.5 hours for me. It would be cheaper to ship, if I bought it.
Surprised this is still here.

Bump for a super good Gobbler Getter!
Bump. Even if you don't know what your doing you'll look good doing it.
Dual bead vent rib.
For the nighttime crowd.
Barrel been cut? They never made that gun in 23".
I'm no expert but not to my knowledge. Doesn't appear so if it has. From the edge of the receiver it's 22 11/16ths. I know the barrel length are exact as some of the material in the reciever counts towards the overall length depending on manufacturer.
I just went and pulled one out of the safe that I bought new and mine measures 24 7/8" from edge of receiver. Maybe I don't know as much as I thought I did. LOL
Remington advertised them as a 26" barrel.
Is the barrel ported? Don't recall Remington offering that from the factory?
Haven't ever seen one ported myself
I'm not talking down on your gun, but barrel has been cut. Mine has 11 rib supports and yours has 10. Also, that is not the correct front bead. That still would make an awesome turkey gun. smile

Appreciate the info. You may be right. Previous owner stated gun was factory ported and 23 inch. I'm no gun expert but been around long enough to know that Remington has put out its share off oddballs.
To lazy to dig it out,but I have the same gun and I believe it's 23".Killed turkeys with a bunch of different shotguns, but this is the best all around I've found.

Well,it was in the front of the safe so I measured-21"w/o extended tube.As usual,a couple inches shorter than I've been telling people.
And I have seen a bunch that are 22 also. This one is about 24 to the end of the tube. I've had more tire kicking on this gun than any other I've had before.
Shot Winchester Longbeard 3in #6 through it today. Nice patterns. Pair of truglo adjustable turkey sights and you are in business.
Sold Pending Funds.
