$665 to your FFL. I can be reached easily by text at (256) FIVE NINE NINE-ZERO TWO SIX ONE or by pm. Naturally the first public "I'll take it" trumps all other offers.
Only trade interests would be a newer VX-3 2.5-8x36 or a VX3i 2.5-8x36
Thanks

That needs to be a .17 Fireball. My .17 Fireball.
I'm about half tempted to see if you wanna trade that little Savage for it but I'm 7-08 poor
Let's make it happen.

You are correct. Sorry I was typing and talking to my 5 year old at the same time. It's a .473 bolt face.

That appears to be a Swift action... The magazine box angles back at the bottom

That is a rare action configuration

I also believe it is in the white
Fellas if this ain't a stainless action I'm sure fooled. I'm no metallurgist but I bought it from another campfire member last year as a stainless action and I've never seen anything to make me think it wasn't. Hopefully this pic has a little better lighting

Also....yes it is a swift action. The way I understand it this action is a bit longer than a normal A II short action. I was planning on turning it into a .260 and loading long bullets. I stuck .243 cartridge in the magbox that I loaded to a COAL of 2.700 and there looks to be a lot of room left. There is also a bit of a gap from the end of the magbox to the lip of the feed ramp so I think a fella could seat some pretty long bullets comfortably

text sent, very interested
I agree with the others...now i could be wrong....but never heard of sako ever having a stainless A2 action, nor have i ever seen one. Not calling u a liar...just agreeing with the others that this is most likely in the white.

Btw, ur price is great, i see these normaly go for $650- $750

It is a CM action AII-2 (swift) in the white sold at auction by Northwest Armory some time back.

Nice action. Love to have it but I don't know what is different between AII-1 and AII-2 medium actions. Like to turn out a 7mm-08 with it.

That is definitely it. Serial numbers match. I bought it from another campfire member somewhere right around a year ago. My plan was to build a .260 off of it. He told me it would work perfectly for that. It cycles .308 cartridges just fine. I can measure the magbox if you'd like for me to.

No offense taken.....I'll be the first to admit that I have very little knowledge about Sako actions. It looks just about like every other stainless action I've ever seen but maybe it is just "in the white"
A magnet might help you identify if it is stainless or steel, most stainless that is slightly magnet you should be able to tell the difference compared to another known steel action/ rifle.

This is carbon steel action, stainless actions do contain carbon . 316 stainless and carp20 are the highest grade used in firearm actions but contain carbon if not they would be brittle ! Sako did not mfg these actions in stainless only the newer ones . Your action is a fantastic piece ! You could apply cold blue to a spot on it and it will take , I don't recommend this , it would have to be polished off and might cause discoloration when hot blued. I'm sorry you got hosed ,( seller was mistaken ) it is a carbon stelel action well worth your price and will be an awesome action for a custom build
Lots of folks have asked me about magazine box......

I think this is about as long as you're gonna be able to comfortably seat and cycle cartridges through it. I guess that's about average for a short action. It's .010" longer than my short action Kimbers
