The axe is as new and has never been carried, used or sharpened. Neither the head nor the handle has a mark on it. The axe head is forged in mild 1018 and high carbon 1080 steels. The handle is Curly Maple and wonderfully figured.

The belt carrier has a dark smudge on the back side from storage. It MAY clean off. (See pictures) The exposed (outside) is spotless.

I bought one from him at the big Tulsa Gun Show a few years back. He makes some real top notch hatchets! Mine is that size but with a double bit blade and a plain hickory handle. I think it was $175 or $200 bucks and well worth every penny!
