In good shape, no cracks or chips in the buttstock at the tang like a lot of old 99's, exc. bore, shoots excellent. Finding a good 99F takedown that's not beat to sheit is a challenge. I've got a few rounds of ammo that shoots well in it, plus a few hundred bullets available for a few extra $ to the buyer. No extra holes in metal. This is cool old early 300 Savage and is a lot of fun to shoot. I have it sighted in for 200 yards. $650 if you don't want the Lyman rear sight, $700 w/o the Lyman but with a Savage rear sight, $750 shipped with the Lyman as shown. Never planned to sell this rifle but need to fund other purchases so something has to go. I think you'll like it.

What is it with old Savages and compasses?
They just go together like deer hunting and wool shirts I guess. It's the only rifle I've owned with one so I like it a lot. If I can sell the SxS shotgun first this one stays home!
Still up there.

Very nice!
I don't need to sell this. Removed.
I keep buying so I need room. $600 w/o any rear sight, $650 with a dovetail rear sight, $700 with the Lyman.
