My only purpose for the rifle was elk. Shot it enough to realize the older I get the less bullet weight and powder my shoulder desires. I did zero load development. Only ever tried one bullet, one powder, and one charge, the 168 TTSX and H4350. I shoot 10 shot groups to confirm a load and do not allow the barrel to cool. The goal is to identify problems and 10 shot groups on a hot barrel will definitely do it. I've shot enough 10 shot groups with various rifles to know this rifle is very very solid. Approximate 1.25" 10 shot group and very uniform with no stringing tendency and no load development.

Very impressive. I wish I were buying instead of selling.

Turn key..... Glad it's not a 7 or I might be coming down to pick it up in person. Very nice Clint!

Yes, Mark knows how to build a rifle, for sure. i'm sure it's a 1/2" rifle with the right load.
Posted By: ctsmith Re: Bansners 300 WSM - 07/27/17
Thanks guys.

Biebs, its already a 1/2" rifle by most folks standards with that load. First three are at the top. Another fell in there at some point. Most would call it a .25" rifle. I know better cause I shoot 10 shot groups. But to your point, I've no doubt that load development would bring the 10 shot group under 1", which is a rarity.

There will be no disappointment with this rifle, guaranteed.

Very nice.
I'm amazed at the weight on this with a 26" #4 tube. That banser stock must be dang light!
Where is the balance on this - little bit forward?
Posted By: ctsmith Re: Bansners 300 WSM - 07/27/17
It doesn't feel muzzle heavy at all. The heavier M70 action balances it out apparently.

Nice snag. This lasted way too long at that price.

My buddy is on a sheep hunt, even as we speak, with the same kind of rifle. He loves his.
