Anybody have an idea of what an Ithaca 37 in 16 gauge is worth? The serial number has it being manufactured in 1996 and its in mint condition. From what little research ive done, the most valuable ones are the pre war Ithacas. I purchased this one from an estate and I am certain I got a good deal, I am just curious as to how good of a deal wink

Need more information on the gun. A pic or two would help.

A 1997 Ithaca is going to be a Kings Ferry gun. Kings Ferry sort of gets a bad rap and some of their guns had quality issues, thought I've never seen a bad one. But I do think they sort of have a stigma that makes them a little less desirable that earlier Ithaca, NY guns.

Can't help much with value, but I do have a Kings Ferry 16 ga Model 37 and it is a really nice shotgun. I bought it new in the late 90s. Came with a 26 in IC barrel, I also ordered a 28 in barrel with choke tubes to go with it. Personally, I think it's worth more than an equivalent Rem 870 Wingmaster, but don't know if the market supports that. Then again, there is no equivalent 870, in 16 ga a Rem must weight 10 - 20 lbs more - right? wink

Uh no early 50's 16 ga plain barrel m870 maybe weighs 6-8 oz more than a plain barrel m37 same vintage in 16..mb

Hard to say for sure without pics and more info on barrel, chokes, etc etc

The one I have is one of the King's ferry models. My office went on a little sporting clays outing on Wednesday and I decided to take it and give it a try. I really like this shotgun. Had no issues with it (I did short stroke the pump a few times) but other than that it was awesome. Shot one of my best rounds of sporting clays. I wouldnt necessarily say that arena is the best place for it but it was fun nonetheless

As far as the chokes it only came with one (full)
