Picked it up yesterday, what a sweet little gun! Hopefully it'll draw blood very soon. :onya:

Cheers, Scott.

Sweet. I have one in 12 gauge and one in 20 gauge. I think you should send me yours so it can feel as though it's part of a pack.

Hehehehe.... Yeah probably not. crazy

I looked at the 20g too but the 28 appealed to me more at the time. But guess what's next on my list? A 20g. wink I'd like one in SxS this time round though.

Cheers, Scott.
Sweet!
May have to pick up one of those to go along with my Benelli Legacy. Gotta love 28 ga.
I have the same shotgun in 20 ga and 28 ga , you will love it
I've been shooting a Beretta SP I 28 gauge with 30" barrels for a little over 2 years now. I use it for everything. Sporting Clays, 5 stand, Doves, quail etc and it has been fantastic. I have about 6500 rounds through it.

Have a 687 two-barrel set with 30" .410 and 28 gauge barrels. Light recoil, quick handling and it doesn't miss much. I really shoot well with Berettas.
Well folks I finally got out and put some rounds through it today, a low key clay shoot out in the forest with a hand thrower. I was using M-IM chokes and some Diana 15g #6 loads and some Winchester 1oz #6 loads. Not ideal clay busting loads but that's all I've got at the moment. First up the 15g Diana stuff was pretty hit and miss, I thought it was just me not being used to the gun, I went through a box of the stuff before swapping over to the 1oz Winchester stuff..... Bingo! Started breaking clays with much better success and really started settling into the gun.

Initially I found the lack of weight a bit tricky with regards to swing, but once I got used to how quick it came across I really started enjoying it.

Planning on getting some #7-1/2s or #9 and maybe putting in the IC-M chokes in.

Anyway, I'm very happy with it.

Cheers, Scott.
What do you guys have for game birds like Pheasants or Grouse over there? Those 1oz Winchester 6's work real well on birds...

G'day mate, we have pheasants and quail so I'm keen to give the 28 a run on those. wink

I reckon you might be right.

I've just picked up a flat of Winchester AA-HS 3/4oz #9 for the next outing on the clays, and I'm about to head up to a property for a few days of R and R, taking the 28g, fishing rod, some traps, a long bow and a bottle of Bourbon.... Stay tuned!

Cheers, Scott.
