Where did you get it, and when is the rebate good until? I am looking at either that or a Mossberg 930.
You won't go wrong with a Beretta, they will cycle in all conditions. pretty much every shooter in our group shoot them without a hitch. My 2 partners and I have A300 Xtremas(3.5" with Kickoff) as back ups to our 391 Xtremas and they work very well. I believe the Outlander is the same action only 3" and without no Kickoff. All in all I think you made an excellent purchase. Here in B.C. I paid $1000 and change for My A300 Xtrema and no factory rebate and I got an excellent deal.
I bought it at dicks about a month ago.Went in to get some .22 ammo could not pass up the deal on shotgun.
Hugh are you still liking the Beretta? I'm seriously thinking of picking one up. Reviews are saying it's really reliable after break in.
I, too, would like to hear an update. I am currently wavering between an A300, or a Franchi Affinity...

If you plan on any cold weather hunting get the Beretta
I'm looking at one for my daughter...went into Dick's to have her look at it today. $649 for the synthetic model. Wish I would have found it for the money you paid for it!
Typical Dick's crap. Wanted the spacers removed so she could shoulder it and see if she liked it. Couldn't do it because the lock on the door to the tool room is busted. Come back in a day or two...
I would have bought it anyway and kept it for myself if she didn't like it at what you bought it for.
he likes it still. still getting use to it though.
Doves & teal good so far did miss a fall turkey this morning not the Outlanders fault . shotgun has been trouble free so far not much of a break in cycles everything I have put in it.
One of the boys bought one for our flooded timber Arkansas hunt last year. As expected, nary a hitch. I use it's Grandpa, the old 390.
Shot 2 fall turkey this morning with it.Will try early goose in morning.
I would buy an Outlander without looking back, I shoot a Xtrema 2 with KO on big water and a Urika 2 in the timber.
I was always a 1100 or SX 2 guy until I shot a friend's B gun, and I switched.
I just ordered an A300 in Max5, should be here today. I do wish they offered a 24" or 26" barrel as opposed to the 28", but I suppose I will make due.
I would of liked a 26" also.have not had a chance to shoot geese decoys are out been bow hunting 1 doe on the pole so far.
Got my A300 today. I have not had a chance to shoot it, but man, I like this shotgun. I still wish I could have gotten a 24 or 26" tube, but I think I will manage just fine. I love the adjustability of the stock for LOP and cast. Everything about the gun seems incredibly well thought out, especially for a budget shotgun.
Got a chance to run about 300rd through the A300 today.
So far, its a winner. Hits are incredibly easy for me with this gun. Reliability was spot on, with everything from cheap WalMart Suprema #8s to high brass #5s.
I did have a slight issue with loading, where if I didnt push the shell well past the latch, it would pop out on the carrier. This is no way impeded function, but it would not allow me to load another shell until that one had been shot. I suspect this is nothing more than a user issue.
Overall, I could not be happier with the gun.
For the price and performance the Outlander is probably the best autoloading shotgun made. My son and I both have one and have had zero problems with them.
I'll have to give a report later, but picked one up yesterday for my daughter. She loved how it felt, as did my son...
I did discover one issue with the gun while in the dove field Sunday. Not sure why I did, but I managed to push the bolt release while the gun was chambered and the mag tube full.
Don't do this. This causes the entire mag tube to dump onto the carrier. You have to empty the chamber, and dig the shell off the carrier with a knife or stick to free the gun up.
