Just want an opinion on this shotgun. I stumbled one for for sale. The owner is asking $399. It is the 28", black synthetic stock, 3" chamber version. No real problems with it that I can see. I have heard a lot of good comments and reviews on this model. I know it is considered an "entry" or " economy" semi-auto to many. It's not that I need another shotgun but it just seemed like a good deal to me? Thank you in advance for any education you can provide it is appreciated.
Really? Nobody has an opinion or experience with this model?
We have two in 20ga, and they're excellent guns. Both are the walnut-stocked "Upland" models. I did find they need about two boxes of heavy loads through a brand new one to break it in; they're fussy about low power loads until you do that, even with the low power load orifice installed.

$399.00 for a synthetic is about a new gun price if you do some shopping.
Thank you. I appreciate that!
My pleasure.

My grandson LOVES the one he got from Mule Deer!

I've handled the Weatherby a couple of times. I found it fit me well. I also like the v-shaped groove in the receiver to help line up the shot. I too read the reviews when I was helping my buddy buy his first shotgun. He picked the Stoeger m3000 over the Weatherby. All told, they look like a decent shotgun for the price.
I appreciate the input. I have been shopping around and most I find in good, used condition are in the 475-550 range.
I see the synthetics are now around $475.00 new. It makes a good used gun worth about $375.00-$395.00, IMO.
