So, as I recently mentioned on the thread regarding 10 gauges, I have a Ithaca Mag 10. It originally had the 30 inch, full choke barrel but I had ordered a new 26 inch barrel with screw in chokes from Ithaca. Anyway, in the good blind today I had a problem with the firing pin. Anyone know if parts can be ordered from Ithaca? I sent a email to the service department but have not heard back yet. Alternatively, are the parts from the Remington SP10 interchangeable?

Some SP-10 parts are interchangeable, some require fitting, and some aren't. I don't know which are which but my gunsmith does.

What is the problem with the firing pin? Depending one what it is, it could be as simple as a good cleaning that could fix it. If it is a spring problem, Wolff has pretty much every spring imaginable. I replaced all the springs in my Mag-10 with those in a Wolff package and the gun has run flawlessly with steel loads since.

Good information. Thanks. A local guy here was able to get it running again, I will ask him the details of what he found.
Contact Ahlman's Gun Shop in Morristown, Mn. They are a very reputable shop and do warranty work for Remington, Winchester, and others. They've got, they can get it, or they can make it from scratch. They have full machining capabilities. I've had them fix a couple things. They do very good work.
