Has anyone here bought one of the new Remington V3's? I bought one in the mossy oak came pattern and shot it 12 times. When I took it apart per owners manual instructions I noticed the the bolt carrier cam pin was damaged. I also saw a post on remingtonowners.com where another guy had the same problem. I called Remington and explained the problem and they were not too interested in helping me. The person I talked to said that part has not been released for sale to the public therefore she could not send me one til they do. No time frame on when that will be. Anyone else hear of this?

I am interested in a V3 and did a google myself. Found the same single thread you did on remingtonowners. I'd lube things up and shoot the heck out of it and see what happens. Several thousand V3's are out there shooting now so if this was a big problem I suspect Remington would be geared up to fix it.

Shoot it, see if the problem gets worse, continue to communicate with Remington. Perhaps you got the dumb person on the phone who was filling in for somebody on vacation. Perhaps it's just a matter of a batch of parts that weren't hardened properly (?) Perhaps it's just a cosmetic thing and won't affect function anytime in the next 5K rounds.

Within my family (both sons and my wife) are three 11-87's that have had a couple thousands rounds through them. All show some wear but all keep functioning fine.

I really want one. I'll swap ya my new 11-87 for it
