Just got this back from Diamond Gunsmithing. Diamond, run by the former head gunsmith of Ithaca, specializes in rebuilding and restoring older Ithaca shotguns. This one, a Supreme Grade Trap, needed some cosmetic surgery. The stock, finish and checkering were in good shape, so Les at Diamond just reblued the receiver and mag tube, smoothed out the trigger and reversed the safety. It came out rather well...ready for another 50 years or so of trap shooting. Love the old Ithacas!
