Lever action 444 Marlin... for woods hunting, both still hunting and ground blind, the area i hunt is quite active in bow season, but deer mostly nocturnal when gun season comes around, so need a bright optic for first and last light...
I've got a 2-7 leupold on mine. No complaints
sent pm of 1 I have I'll sell, scout scope
You need a bright optic and you need to be able to see the reticle. That spells illuminated for those first and last legal minutes of shooting.
I’d run a quality fixed 4x on it and rule the world.
I have K4's on each one
No problems (yet)
They're more than adequate for the
legal shooting hours here.
2nd one I had after stupidly letting the
1st one go away had a low power variable.
Don't remember what kind, but it didn't
make a hundred rounds before the rattle-rattle
came about. I bought 2 K4's ,and the 3rd one
got one of them when it came home
Good Luck with whatever you find
I've got a Burris 1 3/4-5x on mine. I sent it back to Burris and had a heavy duplex installed.
The Japan made Weaver 1x3 is a nice scope. Have 2 on 10-22,s

I agree. I just mounted one up on a 17 HMR when I robbed the scope off it for another rifle. It's a neat little scope.
I bought a couple of Holosun HS510c on Black Friday... I am loving them so far.

Wish'd Weaver still made 'em.....great scopes for the money
This one on my Marlin 45 Colt
Leupold 2-7 heavy duplex or German #4 hard to beat.
VX2 2x7 here also
Really like the color case hardening. Never seen one like that before
My Marlins have Leupold Shotgun 2-7x33 with heavy duplex scopes on them.

Brought it to Doug Turnbull and had him do it hes 45 minutes away from me
Bushnell 1.5 x 4.5. shotgun scope.. with a circle X reticle...
My .45-70 Guide Gun has had a 1-4 Leupold shotgun/muzzleloader scope with coarse duplex crosswire and 75 yard parallax-free setting since it was new (probably more than 25 years. It’s held up to hundreds of hotrod 400 grain loads and killed a truckload of deer. Small profile, doesn’t disrupt the handling qualities of a lever action rifle. In my opinion and experience it’s the ideal scope for a powerful lever gun.
I’d run a quality fixed 4x on it and rule the world.
+1. I had a Marlin 444P with an IOR 4X. Perfect for me for the woods hunting I did.
I agree. a good 4X and you'd have a perfect scope for that gun and caliber.
I'd go 2x7.
We have antler point restrictions to deal with.
I need XXXs to sort points from brush, binos waste valuable time.

He does great work for sure. Congrats for a great looking rifle.
