Got a question......can the eye relief be changed on a scope. I have purchased a vintage Redfield 4X scope that has like 12" eye relief, which probably was meant for mounting on a pistol. I am wanting to mount it on a Winchester 22 rimfire rifle, but with the long eye relief it does not work. I have used Irtonsight Inc. before for older Redfield scopes repair and have reached out to them concerning changing the eye relief on a scope, but have not heard back from them. Is this even possible to do? What you guys say. Knew nothing about long eye relief when making the purchase, and if can be changed to a 3" to 4" eye relief it would work. Thanks for any help.
Nope. You're stuck. Sounds like a scout scope.
Hmmm.... sounds like a good reason to go buy a gun to put it on. smile

Can send it back if I want, but would like to keep if could have the eye relief changed.
You're not "listening." The eye relief can't be changed.

I returned it for a refund and took a 4X vintage Redfield that I had on my muzzleloader and put on my 22 rimfire rifle….saved my $$….all is good. Thanks for the reply’s.
