Looking to scope my new Winchester model 70, 300 win Mag. Budget is $600-800. Will mostly be used for 200-400 yards from a hunting blind/shooting house. Illumination is a must. What would be your first choice. Seriously looking at trijicon so as to not be dependent on batteries?? Open to any and all advice. Thanks in advance.

Trijicon is a good starting point......I sprang for a 2.5x10x56 credo hx a couple of years ago......

Good glass, solid build.....but I dont hunt over more than 200 yds.

Hard to go wrong with the scope that you’re initially considering, go with your gut and get the Trijicon. For what you are looking for and your requirements I think the Trijicon will serve you well. Not requiring batteries is a big plus as is the COO of Trijicon.
