What is the length and is the power of the scope marked anywhere? Guess to be 20 inches long and maybe a Stevens 338.
Call Brett Boyd, over at Single Shot Exchange Magazine

He's very knowledgable in that area,......

It is 18 13/16" long and looks to be a 3/4" tube

TomA is real close with the 338, but the mount isn't right. Yours has the micrometer rear mount, so my best guess is the No.331 at 3.5x (circa 1911).

J. Stevens scopes were made from 1901 to 1929 & they offered alot of different models, 114 to be exact. Identifying your exact model can be difficult.

Nick Stroebel's latest book list the value of scope & mount at $850 to $1,500 depending upon condition.

WOW! Thanks 3d. The scope came on a Winchester 75 Target rifle and the whole rig cost me $525 so I guess I did ok.
