Wondering if any of you have gone with a solid colored, and/or fade effect and/or splatter effect when you ordered through the custom shop?

Pondering whether to get one that would compliment a McSwirley.
I think it would be like wearing stripes with plaid.

MD, some of the McSwirlys look that way to me. wink
I'm not sure that I'd spend extra $$ for a colored scope. I seem to get by pretty well with gloss scopes on rifles that have polished blue metal or matte finished scopes on rifles that don't have polished blue metal.

I have a couple of silver colored scope, but don't care for them and wouldn't have them unless the price was too good to pass on or if they came as part of a trade package. I also have a Leupold VX1 NWTF 2-7x33 that has the "dark earth" finish that looks OK, but not (IMO) worth spending $$ on.

Looks like something out of the movie PREDATOR... "IF IT BLEEDS, VE CAN KILL IT"!!!!!

The Governator
????
Spend all that money and then have it painted up to look like a kids toy???
Sorry but I don't get it. No offense meant - really. But ?????
Definitely looks cool on the AR.
I wanted to get a FXII 4x33 in blue anodized to match a blue McMillan stock I have. I was quoted 16 weeks turn around on the job. Haven't ordered it yet, but the solid color anodizing looks good. The paint splatter isn't my cup of tea, but I've seen a few around locally and the finish appears robust and is well done.
