Hello,

By chance does anyone have the original paperwork for a Scopechief and Scopechief VI scope, I just need to know how long the warranty was for these two models.

I pulled my box out of the closet. I paid $99.99 for my Scopechief VI in 1989. The warranty card says "Your Bushnell or Bausch & Lomb riflescope is unquestionably warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner." TIt goes on to say they will repair or replace it. It says to send it in with $10 for handling.

Thank You for the info. I called Bushnell today and they said Scopechiefs were only warranted for 15 years but I was sure it was lifetime, I guess I will call them again and fight for the warranty.

I bought a Scopechief V back in 72, It went Bad about two years later. At that time The warranty (I believe) was 20 years. They sent me a refurb after the second try. First repair lasted one or two shots. But that refurb is still going strong and compares to a 4200 for clarity and brightness. It was a top of the line scope back then. Guess it depends when it was purchased for the warranty length. Also yours is a Scopechief and Scopechief VI, may make a difference.
