All my bases have the smaller screw, 6x30 I think for a factory Rem action? But my Stiller action has 8-40 tpi mounting screw holes. Do I need to go to Stiller to get a single base or 2 pc bases, or is there someone out there that sells what I need?
Is it the Stiller Predator action?
If it is the Predator then any 2 pc. scope base for the round back Savage will work even if you need to buy some 8-40 screws from Brownells and drill out the bases a bit.
It's a JP Enterprise action, made by Stiller for them is my understanding. I do have a single base that seems to fit both front and rear, so I guess I need to get a pair or a second and some screws.
Yes, the front and rear are identical.
You can get Torx head 8-40 screws at Brownells.
Call talley - they will drill out the scope base holes to 8x40 before shipping to you (if they don't have then in stock)
I just talked to Russ at Stiller the other day about mount ideas.
Talley has base sets with correct hardware for Stiller actions.
Stiller offers picatinny rail mounts as well.

Also you can use two Rem700 front bases to make Dual Dovetails on a Stiller...
Just mounted Talley bases on a Stiller Predator action last night. Fit just right. I ordered the bases through the link on the Talley website.
To muddy the waters a bit..I just talked to Russ at Stillers..he said the "PREDATOR" action is drilled for standard Remington mounting holes 6-48...seems like standard Remington bases DO NOT need to be drilled out...go figure...I just ordered two(2) front Remington bases(#46) from S & K.

Yep. Any front base for a Remington 700 will fit front AND rear on a Stiller Predator. I've gone that way before, but am currently using one of Stiller's rails. They are machined to fit the predators and machined so precisely that it truly looks like the receiver and rail are the same piece of metal. I used the Burris Extreme Tactical Rings and was very impressed with both the rail and the rings. When I checked with my alignment rods, the rods were perfectly point to point with absolutely no lapping required.

Yea. The TAC 30 has 8-40's. Predator 6-48's. Talley fixed me up. All I had to do was call them.
