Guys, Got a question I hope someone here can help me with.
I am looking for a sunshade for my Bushnell "Banner" dusk and dawn 6-18x50 riflescope.Sent an email to Bushnell and this is the responce I got back....

I apologize for the inconvenience but a scope that does not come with a sunshade will not accept one and the thread pitch on this is not something that is measured and vary well may vary from production run to production run depending on which of our factories it came from.

This sounds like crap to me cause the bell of the scope looks like its threaded to me! Is anyone using an aftermarket shade on one of these scopes or might know the TPI(threads per inch)
inside the bell? Any info is appreciated- thanks

Actually, I don't think you were given a line of crap.
From their response, I don't think they were denying that it's threaded but simply explaining the thread pitch is inconsistent, hence, there isn't a one-size-fits-all sunshade for it. And, attempting to do so would mean irate customers venting on the internet, complaining about the quality control.

OK, I guess what I'm asking is, would anyone know where I might find an aftermarket shade that may possibly fit this scope?
