I have the Zeiss 5x25x50mm HD5 and the parallex Dial felt like it was slipping. Had to adjust it to infinity image to focus at 100yds ? Callede Zeiss up they said send it ! Few days later when I was packaging the scope ,the Parallex dial seemed ok ? Sp I still sent it back saying I di8dn't want this to fail on the dream hunt . I wonder what's wrong ?

From my experiences with them that would be very quick.

Yet the optic quality is still worth it to me to wait the few times I"ve needed service.

L turns theirs around quickly, but you still have L quality.

Why does it take so long ? What are the odds of them replacing it with a new scope ?

My very first tractor. A-C HD5AG. Had a 6 bottom plow and 24' set of rodweeders for it. Open cab, although my dad found an old wood cab for it for spring and fall work.

my Victory HT is back in Germany until after the hunting season...my fault and those damn push button sling release's.

Robert sent another back to Nightforce last week for reticle failure while I was there.

Case Open!!

5-25, I'm assuming the dream hunt was for prairie dogs.

I guarantee that Zeiss has at least 10x's more scopes returned for failure than Nightforce does!! There is a reason why the military does not use Zeiss Conquest scopes for our soldiers......

Are you sure they have to send a conquest to Germany?

Zeiss sells 200x the amount also betting. Im sure there are a few pole-smokers on SH buying 30oz Nightforces to kill stuff at 85 yds though.

The HD5s are made in Germany, so I guess that's why they have to go back there if in need of repair. The previous Conquest were made here in the USA and IIRC, were also repaired here in the US.

I sent a Dialtal (made in Germany) in to have the reticle changed and ASV+ turrets installed. It had to go back to Germany to be done, and because of that, the process was VERY lengthy.

I just watched a show on Bubbavision where the guy shot a Dall sheep at 200 yards with his Nightforce cranked up to 20X

Using that as a guideline, for your property, you'll need a 1-10X variable....

Whichever [bleep] one you want......good hunting!!

Winchester or Federal factory ammo?

I'd splurge and go with nosler custom ammo because it costs more.

Better throw in some Ever Calm, Donkey Butter, and the Cough Silencer..

I think there's a dairy down in Tijuana that makes it from donkey cream.

DB, is another miracle product as advertised on "Bubbavision." Along with the others mentioned, are the barrel De-Resonator, and maybe a dozen more I don't know about.

If "the barrel De-Resonator" is the rubber donut looking thing one occasionally sees they work! At least they sure did on the two rifles I tried them on.
