Can anyone give any advice in these two scopes? Both are basically same price so that isn't really a issue.
I have a strong dislike for the eye-relief on the Burris. I'd go Rededfield all the way.
Never looked through a Burris just heard guys on here talking about them so been doing some research on them and thought I would ask on here
I have both. I like both. The burris has enough eye relief for standard calibers.
I think the redfield is brighter and a more forgiving eye box.
The clicks on the Burris feel more solid and I like the ballistic plex for the gun its on.
I'd say go redfield all the way if the BP isn't needed.
As it sits for me I'm glad I got ea scope and wouldn't trade one off for the other.
Each click on the Burris 2-7X gives 1/2 MOA adjustment, vs 1/4 MOA on the Redfield. I have both Redfield and Burris 3-9X's, both are 1/4 MOA. At close ranges it may not matter.

Almost a toss-up in a 3-9X, but I'd buy the Redfield in a 2-7X.
No comparison. Ive had both. I only have the Redfield now.

Not even close. As Steelie said, the eye reliefs sucks big time. The Burris FFII 3x9 is just fine, but the eye relief on the2x7 just aint there...
Well this is going on a compact ruger american 243. I keep thinking a 2x7 will be good what do u guys think?
A 2-7X is as big as I'd go and I'd consider a 1-4X20.

I have a Burris that is a great scope. I gave it an honest testing and decided I like the 3-9x40 FFII better. I don't notice a difference in eye relief between those 2 scopes. The 2-7 is smaller if that's what you are looking for. Glass is great, no complaints there. I'd sell you a like new one for $100.00 shipped if you want to give it a try..
2-7 would be nice, no experiance with the Burris, but the Redfield is a nice optic....although for a compact rifle I'd mount up a 4x(FX-II or Classic K4), I replaced my 2-7s with a Classic K4 and a Classic K2.5 a while back...
Redfield...........

I'd like to take credit for this idea. shocked I actually posted it in a forum long before it came to fruition. And then told Ruger they should offer the 2 products together and call it the "American Revolution Package". Low and behold, it happened.

Excellent combo for the price IMO. And made here....

Forgot to add. I'm a 3-9x40 slut, and that is what I'd go with on a 243....
