Leupold VX3 3,5-10X40 B&C vs Zeiss Conquest 3;5-10X44 RZ6

I have drawn an AZ desert sheep tag and would like to upgrade the optics on my custom pre 64 mod 70, 270 win. I anticipate shots will probably be in the 300 + yard range. I can now buy the Zeiss for less than the Leupold which makes the choice difficult. Opinions please.

The RZ600 is a much better ballistic reticle than the B&C. Optically the Zeiss is slightly better.

I would go for the Conquest,

Thanks Timberbuck. I am leaning toward the Zeiss for the money. Just wished it came in a gloss finish at least something closer to a traditional blue.

I would check the parallax At 300+yds on the Zeiss - my biggest issue with the 3-9 Conquests, not sure how bad it is on the 3.5-10.

I have never had that problem with Conquests or any other Zeiss scopes.I checked mine out to 400 yards with little parallax movement if any.
