Anyone have one they recommend?
These have served me well. They are 1/4 inch wider than most.

Crooked Horn Magnum Binocular System. The Magnum Bino System is now available, the added 1/4" makes all the difference when carrying larger binoculars.
I'd check the weather/dust resistance before buying the CH Magnum series. My cousin has one and is not impressed. The top does not close securely and lets all kinds of chit in....YMMV

One thing I like about GW's posts, besides the fact he knows what he's talking about, is the fact that you never have to wonder what he's trying to say. Did I mention I like that?
Badlands Bino Case is what I use and like.

if you can find it, this is my favorite.
I like the KUIU bino harness. Works well hiking or on a horse.
In the snow I use my badlands. For the rest of the year I use the S4 Gear. Both work great, but the S4 is more compact than the Badlands. And I leave my eye covers on when in the case to keep them clean.

Don't forget about this one.....

I don't like the enclosed cases. I'd rather have the open design because it's easier to use quickly and doesn't get hot against the chest. Also slightly less bulky. I like the crooked horn or even Vortex bino harness. With the lens covers on I've never felt like the extra protection of a case was needed where I hunt.
Alaska guide creations. FHF is very good but less dust protection. I switch back and forth between these two for regular ELs.
I bought an S4 last year, mostly because my wife and stepson bragged about them. I use a 10x42 Swaro SLC, and I was tired of flipping off the lens caps and then having to put them back on when I started moving again. The S4 did not keep dust from accumulating on either the ocular or the objective lenses. There was probably not as much dust as if I just did not have the lens caps on, but definitely more than I wanted.

FWIW, I am trying the Alaskan Guide this year.
Haven't found the perfect one yet but the Alaskan Guide is pretty close.
I have a set of these on my 10x40 Zeiss.

I have been pleased with them.
+1 for alaska guide creations
Blacktailer,
That's my favorite as well. And, it can be used to carry several different ways.

If someone is looking for a dust/weather cover, then it's obviously not the way to go.

A precursory answer to those that are taking a look at the RYO harness for the first time; no, it does not "cut/dig into your shoulders". smile
Kuiu makes the best bino caring rig
Another vote for the Alaskan Guide

These really are well designed and they are Made in the USA. I was looking for a solution for a pair of Minox HG 8x56 BR binoculars. They are huge. I bought the large for these and couldn't be happier. I'll be ordering a regular sized pack for the fall.
