I have some Super slams and older grand slams ......both have been just fine. I'm starting to see the newer grand slams at better prices. Just wondering if anyone has used one in the field. IMO the super slam offers excellent performance and the older grand slams have been solid performers. I think both are light optic works products which is known for quality.you can pick up 3-12-42 for 250.00 which seems like a good deal.

I bought the 3-12x42 and I like it. The glass looks as good as any Leupold VX-3 I have seen. It's side focus goes down to 25 yards and it has turrets you can reset. The only negative I can see is the eye relief is a bit short, but I am not going to put it on a heavy kicker. I haven't gotten to use it on the range yet, but I think it is alot of scope for the money.
