Why not a fixed 6 x24 for carbine? - 09/08/16
I've been thinking about this a lot.
AR scopes 1x6 seems perfect except the good ones are way to costly to make it worth it for me.
So I mounted a SWFA 1x4 yesterday and I like it a LOT.
The SWFA 6X is great; but big and heavy and bulky.
I wish SWFA would make a very simple $300 6x with 24 objective and a simple mil based reticle for hold off and hold over. Even a 1" tube might work well to keep down weight.
A 300 yard zero and 45 degree offset irons... what is not to like?
Does something like this exist already? I think the commies got one don't they???
If I can make fast target aquisition and hold over out to 500 yards life is way good. No cranky, no complications- fast and affordable and rugged. I think there might would be a huge market for that.
