Anyone have any inside info on this new version? Is the glass even better? There is a leveling system that causes the reticle to blink if canted. I'm not sure I would like that since shots may be from tree stands or off hand at close range,and I don't want my reticle blinking during those.

I'm looking for a new scope and am considering this new version since I can get a good deal on them.

For anyone interested,I spoke to a tech at Leupold today and was told that the leveling feature can be turned off,and was told that the new lenses have better color contrast and definition compared to the standard VX6.

Still hoping for bullet proof tracking.......maybe in the future!

I bought the VX-6 3x18x50mm today. The HD was a few hundred more. Now I'm wondering how good the one I'm getting will be ? Plan on mounting it on my AR for prairie dog hunting .

The standard VX6 is still very good.
