Just read that the House is considering the bill by Stearns (HR1036) to prohibit those civil lawsuits against gun manufacturers. However, in reading about it I got infuriated when his fellow Floridian Rep. Alcee Hastings, said the following:

Alcee Hastings said as the debate opened that he does believe in a constitutional right to own a gun. But he said that under that same constitution, "a person has a right to sue."

What a moron. You guys in Florida oughta run his butt out of the state.

Betcha that Rep Hastings is a lawyer!!! The trial lawyers are looking for the next hot issue now that they have driven asbestos and tobacco litigation into the ground. They are nothing but bloos sucking leaches and we keep electing them to congress. We have meet the enemy and he is us!!! Regards,
