Hi, I picked up a couple boxes of used reloading equip. Among the goodies is a RCBS lube-a-matic. And some Lyman molds. I want to start casting for my 45 colt. But the closest size is a 457. Can these be resized to 452? Keep in mind I've only ever cast round balls for my smokepoles. Any help will be put to use, thanks

.005 is a rather large reduction of diameter. It can be done but better if not done in one pass. But on the other hand should you want to size .454 it should work fine.

I would not attempt it. I'd trade it for something in the .454 range.
