I am using 2 RCBS Pro-Melt Furnace's. One I use wheel weights and the other I use soft lead (plumber lead, flashing, x-ray machine lead)
The pot with the soft lead will not stop dripping...its awful...I cant get it to stop. I've turned the Temp down. Ive drained the pot and cleaned the stopper and hole...still it drips out at a fast rate.
Any thoughts on how to get it fixed?

Inspect your bottom pour stem and seat for damage. It's also possible that you might have something binding in the linkage that prevents the stem from seating fully. If all else looks good, try lapping the stem and seat to insure full contact.
Rare to have a problem with a ProMelt furnace. They are good ones. I had a Lyman Mag 20 that occasionally had a drip problem, but it was always due to small particles getting in the spout keeping the pin from seating.

Thanks guys....I'll drain it again and look further into it. About 6 months ago I cleaned it all out and made sure there was no debris. This time I will check for fit of the stopper in the spout....Its just a hassle because, of course its Full....ggggrrrr....lol
