I'm impressed with the quality of this new mold from Arsenal. Not a huge selection to choose from presently but outstanding machine work and every bit as good as any NEI,NOE,Accurate or Brooks I presently have in the inventory. Mold block and sprue are heavy with large alignment pins and screws for a nice tight fit....Had this one cut .460 to size .458 or .459 for several different rifles with a custom 300 gr .44 design in the wings to be made as soon as I get them the specs.

Only thing I don't like is the bare aluminum alignment pin holes, but that won't be too much of an issue if you're careful with it. Looks like a good one otherwise.

CNC manufacturing becoming more common is a great thing for us bullet casters, as it seems to be providing a lot more options for high quality molds. Even the cheap Lee stuff, with CNC production now, is light years ahead of what they were 10 years ago.

Thanks for sharing the info. I am loading a 350 grain NOE HP design for my Marlin in 45-70. When I take the HP pins out I will be casting a 405 grain flat nose. If you would, let us know the results of this bullet.

As I am still a novice at this stuff, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Finished running the first batch of a hundred a few days ago with mixed results, figured at 30:1 they would drop a tad over 330 grs but all were 325.5 + or - with a .4 gr spread at a constant .4597 Dia. Not bad for a double cavity which certainly won't affect accuracy.The mold itself is excellently machined, holds heat well and bullets drop with little effort.

Presently loading a few 45/70 and 45/90's for a trial run so I'll post the results later.
