Having a hand meat grinder on hand I recall seeing a post recently somewhere about using a pulley, belt and motor from an dryer to convert it to electric. Anyone have any ideas/advice/plans for doing this? Those electric grinders in the the catalogs are too expensive for this poor boy.
Heres the link to Cabelas, and the pulley att.

Harbor Freight has some fairly cheap motors that may work better than a dryer motor but most dryers are 1/3 hp so that'd probably do it.
A company called allied-kenko sales(i think) has everything you need along with saftey cautions they dont want your hands in the belt or pulleys!
Make sure that the motor is not too fast or you will be cleaning blood off the walls and ceiling. This happened to a co-worker.
