Spring season opens Wednesday so I've been out looking around whenever I can. Thought I'd throw up some photos from the past couple of weeks.

Rogue, did you spot anything out and about? Whereabouts is the area you show in the pics? Great looking area- I love hunting the mountains/canyons with the big natural meadows like that, especially in spring.

Looks like you've got your packers ready......:)

Nice pics and it looks like lots of good spots to glass for feeding bears. It makes me anxious to throw some glass in a pack, grab a rifle, and hit the hills.
hey Mike, how ya been?

havent heard from you in a while. getcha a bear for me too.
You better not disturb my squirrels, they are just settling down from our first trip in there grin Have you poked around on the other side of that large canyon behind the big bluff in the pic? Its got that crick in the bottom of it.

I finnally made it over there a week or so ago. Looked like everything was hanging out on that side of the canyon. Lots easier to get there though if you drive up the switch backs and then hang a left for a lil bit before you hike in.........

Saw a few deer, the does and fawns look good the bucks look tired and ready for spring. Haven't seen any bears out but that's ok the two days left. Gonna head out after work weds and probably all day Saturday. It's all good.

MB, Figured that last photo would get you going. Haven't made any noise while sneaking in there, left all your squirls alone. I did notice a lot of grey squirls on the lower road.

IronEagle, No bears tied up...Sorry.

Sheister, the Second photo is in Mud Bogger's back yard in the Rogue unit. The rest of the photos are out in the Applegate,
Well thats good to hear grin

We took the first road outta town yesterday and ran up to a lil orchard that is Down Low, just about bordering Cascade. There was Bear sign all over that orchard last deer season. Couldnt see much yesterday though. Course the fresh snow hid everything. Still "just looked good"
I thought that looked like Bogger's spot!

Rogue, stay outta my secret hole. If you don't, I'll make you pay for the coffee when I get up there.
I'm polling my buddies now about my trip timing (I'll meet up with them for some desert action afterward). I'll let you know when I've got something set.
yeah Mike, dont kill all the squirrels yet... i wanna get in on that action with y'all too. i got some time to smoke some critters.
