Anything on the internet is likely fake in my books. That 50" muledeer being one of the more likely and suspicious looking candidates. That background and vegetation looks a lot more like Arizona than Idaho to me too.

But I'd sure like to see one on in person.

Just being cynical,,,

The one that looks like a texas longhorn is a fake. The head has clearly has been pasted onto that body, and not very well at that.
I'm pretty sure those pictures, at least the bottom one, were taken on the Tooele Army Depot in Utah. I saw them posted a while back on the Monster Muley's Forum and that's what the original poster said. I've heard there's some hogs between there and Antelope Island where there's no hunting allowed.
And yet another!

These were sent to me by a biologist pard that recieved them from a co-working bio. in Idaho. Unfortunately, he managed to convince me that "full-disclosure" would forgo my availability as a participant in a Mulie hunt into the next century!

These bucks are NOT fake and they reside on private government land 25 miles from my home. Some of the pictures are from the Kennecot (sp) Copper Mine in Utah. My buddy lives right next to the property and 40 inch bucks are frequently seen, but too far to photograph. Once in a while they come down near the road or an employee snaps some pictures of them while patrolling the perimeter. There are more bucks than does on the property as well. Some of the bucks are so old and imbred that their antlers are completely freaky.

Antelope Island is close by as well and the bucks are even better on that private island. Most are nontypical cactus bucks of huge, massive proportions. Flinch
[Linked Image] ... that's about all I can say!

I'm scheduled for a mule deer bow hunt in Colorado next year ... just how far is Utah anyway? What pin would I need to use to shoot from CO to Utah?

Gents all,

The following is a quote from my pard:

"These pictures were taken by an employee at the Idaho Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx
Laboratory near Xxxxxx Xxxxxx (atomic energy test site)

xxxxx xxxxxxx
Idaho Fish & Game

Regional Wildlife Populations Biologist"

I'm beginning to wonder now just how accurate the info is!

Besides those huge racks they all glow in the dark.
FLINCH.......What is private government land?
bhtr,
cut that wide-ass buck out, slap him in any photo software you want, blow him up a couple of times and tell me if you don't see a white collar on him from a lousy cut and past. He ain't real.

I'm heading to Idaho this weekend for a week. Unit 1 . Can anyone give me any inside on some places to checkout and hunt. First time out of Georgia. I've hunted all my life in Ga. killed some big deer, but hoping to bag life time buck. Can someone help me on this?

Thanks
Doyle Harp
WOW now those are some bucks
Accraholic, the land is Military land and also mining land. You can't get NEAR it. It is heavily patrolled and never EVER get's hunted. Trespassing on it is MAJOR prison time. 35" bucks are thicker than flies on the land, with several 40" bucks. You just can't get photos of them or go near the high fences.

And yes, that 40" buck is real for the naysayers. He isn't alone either. Flinch
Brent, come on down to Utah and bring your spotting scope. You will see 40" bucks on this land at long range. He isn't 50 inches, but he damn sure is 40. He might be cut and pasted, but I highly doubt it. Like I said, he ain't alone either Flinch
Flinch, I'd love to see one like that. I've seen a few good ones, on protected land and elsewhere, but nothing even close to THAT good. I'm still betting it's a fake. Like I said, blow it up in any software package you've got. The thing is pasted on too low (gives him a hump like a bison) and it's the wrong color and a few other details. Cut, stretched and pasted for my money.

I tend to be a bit cynical of e-land photos, having seen many more fakes than realities on the net (including here).

If he IS real - 40" isn't even a question. 50" would not surprise me.

Brent
Looks like some sorry sumbitch poached that big Utah buck. Here's the links: http://www.monstermuleys.info/dcforum/DCForumID6/9104.html

Did anyone notice that the big buck on the left has no ears?
Well, I'm no forensic photography expert but when I enlarged the biggest wide buck to 800 times the colors of the deer and the antlers do not match the surroundings. I don't know what that means? I also notice a straight line surrounding the outline of the deer that is very faint. On the inside of the line the colors are very green, and on the outside of the line the colors are brown. It may just be the fuzzy nature of a low res digital photo. However the other deer in the photo do not have this same odd feature? Somebody with skills in photography manipulation should look this over and tell me what you think.
Well maybe it's just the odd nature of digital photos. the colors are certainly off but everything seems to line up OK. I was so curious to see if this was real I had to go into my photo program and zoom in to see what it lookrd like up close. Thats when the whole picture became very odd looking.
Those pictures are 100 percent real. That buck was poached this year and he wasn't 40" wide. He ended up being 35" wide. If you still think those pictures are fake thats ok, and the comment that the deer doesn't have ears is that the ears are tilted behind him and if you look closely you can see them. Also with his ears like that it makes him look wider than what he really is.
Thats but a spike!
