Last minute MT leftovers - 11/24/12
Travel schedule gives me very little time between gigs, but was able to squeeze in one morning in my favorite whitetail patch after meeting my Turkey Day obligations. Was committed to shooting the first four-point or better buck that came by, allowing me to return early enough that the day would not count against my kitchen pass.
Within fifteen minutes of getting set up, I was taking pictures of this guy. Added a pair of does to the mix, before I got to the truck.
Wish I had more time to do this, given how fun it is to sit in the thick cottonwoods and watch the insanity of late November whitetails.
With this tag punched, off to AZ for an elk hunt.
.308 with Federal Premium 180 grain Trophy Bonded Tips.
Could get accustomed to these 80 yard shots. Even a guy like me looks good when they pose broadside at those ranges. Not sure my Leupold CDS is needed when they want to come in that close.
