I'm new to the forum and have been scanning the threads her; tons of good information. Great site.

I am currently deployed to Egypt and won't get a chance to do much scouting prior to my bow hunt in the beginning of January in the Florida Mountains of New Mexico.

Is there any advise that you all would be willing to offer up. I know it is steep terrain and have been training my body for it by doing lots of leg work. I am familiar with the mountains and am in decent shape for the physical aspect of the hunt. My main concern is locating the goats and getting a shot at them.

Do you know of any books, articles or web posts that I can read? I've pretty much watched every video there is on you tube with Ibex in it.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
This guy did a nice job videoing his hunt. The Floridas are very rugged. I think you can camp at Rock Hound State Park.

Being that you're deployed right now, i'm sure you are already spending as much time in the gym as you possibly can.

That being said, Id suggest running with your gasmask and a ruck on the treadmill. I'm not Sh*tin ya. Also, there isnt any water up there, so id reccomend carring some extra H20 with ya.

Where are you stationed?

PM sent.
You have a PM from me as well.
