Ronnie Dunn testifies in deer hunting trial
Associated Press Jan. 6, 2005
SOUTH BEND, Ind. Country music singer Ronnie Dunn has testified he'd never been deer hunting until he hunted on a northern Indiana farm where he bagged a 12-point buck.

He took the stand in federal court yesterday at South Bend, where the owner of the farm is being tried on federal wildlife violations.

Dunn told jurors he used a rifle to kill the buck, which Russell Bellar had pointed out to him. Dunn also said he didn't have a state deer hunting license.

Dunn said he had not been told by investigators that he had committed illegal acts and had merely told investigators what had happened on his hunting trips.

The entertainer also testified he was told Bellar's farm near Peru (Indiana) was a private hunting facility.

Prosecutors say one of Bellar's former employees has signed a plea agreement in which he says Bellar charged hunters four-thousand to 20-thousand dollars per buck.
WOW!!!4-$20,000 dollars for a Buck?Wish I was rich. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

OK, forget I mentioned it.
Vern Den Herder from my home town and who wouldn't consider himself famous at all from the famous "no-name" defense of the 70's Dolphins. He was a "no-name" def end of the Csonka era who played 12 seasons and I believe has 4 S.B. rings.

Loves pheasants and fox/coyote hunting and farms on the side.
As conservative as a midwesterner gets but a gentleman and fine companion.

George
How about Daniel Boone, Davy Crocket, Jim Bridger, Jedadiah Smith, William Cody, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson.
Sort of a mix of politicians and celebrities, just to name a few off the top of my head.

Morgan Freeman, who is my favorite actor,is an avid hunter. He raises quarter horses, which he uses to hunt off of believe it or not.He says he finds them to be the best trail horses he's ever ridden.

Guitarist Dickey Betts is an avid bowhunter, and has been in one or two hunting videos hunting hogs in Florida.

WB.
I saw Jack Morris ('80 Tigers pitcher) on a hunting show last year.

Elvis owned some guns. Does anyone know if he hunted?

You forgot our former Governor and Secretary of Health and Human Services under Bush II, term 1, Tommy Thompson. I used to deer hunt with him before he was famous. At his first inauguration, he told me he didn't recognize me because I was wearing a tux instead of blaze orange.
