Nu-Way
Model 4000 - Propane Stove

Anyone use one of these in a wall tent? IF so I would appreciate your feedback on the unit.

I'm curious about this as well. I figure to order one this month. They look great and have good reviews from what I've found.
They are highly functional, durable and very reliable.

I have used this stove in my spear shack for the last 5 years.
Haven't used one yet myself but have considered one. I'd definitely get one of the dual burner models so you can run one burner or two.

I sent Nu-Way an e-mail about fuel consumption on "low". This was the reply:

M-2000- 8000 btu's
M-3000- 12,000 btu's
M-4000- 16,000 btu's

Says "needs venting." Carbon monoxide...
That means "stove pipe"

I have a half a dozen of the single burner units in deer blinds at my hunting camp. All vented with 3" pipe. I believe I bought them in 1994, and short of blowing out the gas passageway with some compressed air to clear spiders and hornets nests...I haven't done a thing to any of them except use them. They run very quiet....I wouldn't hesitate to use one in a tent.

A hunting buddy uses one in an 8 man tipi when close to a truck. It works very well

Tim,

Do you know what size/model your bud is using in that tipi? And what seasons/temps?

Thanks,

Jason
