Wife, our two year old daughter and I went out to find the wife a couple antelope. Couldn't keep the wife off the trigger and she tipped over the first buck we found at 358 yards.

The daughter didn't want anything to do with getting in the picture. An hour later the wife tipped her doe over at 276 yards. Both antelope were shot with 7mm-08 and 140 grain accubonds. Now to make burger and brauts.

Laker: Congratulations to your wife on the dandy Buck Antelope and the good shooting.
Good for you both.
Antelope burger makes great chili by the way.
Many happy returns of your family day.

Great too that the kid is involved. Have several friends that seem to cease doing things simply because they have a child.

Only place she won't be going this year with us is elk hunting. This year will be her first on the trap line with me
Good stuff!! Congrats to you & your family. Nice antelope as well!!
At 9 months our son was asleep in a back pack carrier with a 2 inch snow accumulation over his snow suit as we chased elk. Did not much take to diaper changes though in those temps. Could be why he's not much of a hunter today.

Good luck on the elk,
Congratulations.
Question? Not nosy just curious! Are any of the windmills in the background on your property? Reason for asking, wondered what the companies paid per year per acre to use the land? Anyone Else??

Here in west Texas, wind rights after bringing $800 - $1200 per month per windmill.
