My wife and I headed West to spend the week with some of our best friends...

imgoofy aka graybird, taylorce1 and Snellstrom

We tromped around and avoided a snake or two but eventually chased these two freezer fillers down.

Congrats! I love hunting them but eating them is even better!

I have to agree with this. I heard horror stories about their table fair. They are an absolute blast to hunt but they are amazing food as well. Everybody who has eaten my antelope loved it. My wife is used to me butchering whitetail every year and when I was cutting up my antelope she said, "there's no smell, I can't even smell it." (not that deer meat is smelly but it does have a certain smell to it) Antelope meat is so clean and tasty!!!
Good deal. That is a critter I have yet to hunt.
Congratulations
I dunno why some say the meat isn't good...I find Pronghorn very good ta eat...Would love ta go hunt em,don't wanna go alone...ScottyO
I made a hunt out of Laramie back in '93. Got a nice 15 incher. Where were you guys at and what rifles did you use? I used a 280AI and 150BT. BTW, I kill antelope does over here in Utah, and I have never, ever, figured out how to cook those nasty devils, ha! I take care of the meat too, do everything right...but that goat smell is rough! ha The meat, no matter how I cooked it, swelled up and got bigger every chew. I always give the meat away.
Not to far from Limon

Campfire member "imgoofy" killed his doe with a .243 shooting TTSX bullets and the little buck I shot fell to my old 30-06 with 150 grn Accubonds
why didn't you stop by? I'm just west of there.....

I will be through Colorado this Friday but like always....trying to make time to get to elk/deer camp
Well, I'm right off I-70 near Deer Trail if you need a place to crash or just see the place and visit...
I appreciate the offer and will drop in some time
Congrats on filling up some freezer space!

Are you still a fan of my cubby 48 year old wife?
Great pic posing the two together. Those plains antelope mostly eat grass seldom any sagebrush makes for awesome eating.
