My wife got a rifle 37b tag to hunt with her friend Heather. I was supposed to go with them, but grandma was unable to watch the kids so I stayed home on dad duty.

My wife said they stumbled into the pigs as they got to the hill they needed to be at. The pigs didn't spook, just kind of walked off. They got in to position. I was texting my wife, giving her advice. She had said that they could hear them and smell them but couldn't see them. Next thing she texts me "piggie down, 180 yards!"

The pigs made themselves visible while the girls were snacking. My wife got behind the AR15 and dropped the hammer!
I'm so proud of her.... she might be a better pig hunter than I am!

Cool, congratulations.
Congrats to the misses.
That's badazz all the way around. Congrats to both of you

Dave
Awesome. I always like it when the wife/gf shows enthusiasm and doesn't just "go along".

What's a 37b tag?
37b is the unit in which she was hunting.
Way cool. Not many women willing to do that .
What caliber is her AR?

I (don't ) hate hunting with my wife.
She keeps pulling chit off no real hunter deserves. smile

My only problem is she is a workaholic...
My respects to the lady. Nicely done.
Congrats to your wife!
Too cool Casey. You better start searching gunbroker for another rifle to call "mine".
Awesome!

That girl has it together! Great pics!

Yes she is.
She packed it out three miles on her own as well! I just got back from filling my tag. Of course she was rubbing in that I wasn't done by 10:30 in the morning, but I killed a bigger Pig and we killed two of them so I guess we'll call it a draw.

No, you win as you also managed to get a heck of a woman.
WTg--
Congrats to all.
Please tell her congrats from me again!!!
Pretty dang cool Casey.

Not to derail too much, but what's the specs on that AR? Looks pretty slim and handy
Lol it's not handy at all, but it is accurate.

20" 1:8 barrel, spikes lower, Tonys custom upper, RRA 2 stage national match trigger (which I hate), ACE skeleton stock, Leupold 3.5-10x40.

Shoots 50 vmax, btips and zmax sub moa.
Pretty awesome. Good for her!
Quite the gal you have their! I hope you're as proud as we are impressed! And so nice of you to put that AR together for her. <grin>
Congrats! Very cool.
Congrats! Very cool.
Congrats to your wife! Wish I could get mine to hunt, let alone go without me. Best I can do is get her to go along on the speed goat hunts in Wyoming.
Thanks gents. I am super proud of her and super impressed!
what a woman!
I'd be proud of her too.
Good pic hauling that pig out.

My wife loves to hunt, but I don't think she'd never go out by herself like that. she might surprise me one day, lol.

Sub moa and then you need to learn to like that trigger instead...I'll take that over most others most days..

Javelina on your back? We'd have been drained of blood if we put one on our back here and walked 3 miles, fleas and ticks and lice would have drained us. Would have to burn the pack, rifle, clothes and all likely... ugh.

Congrats!!! When you grow up and learn to like a good trigger let me know. LOL.

Jeff
I assume you don't eat javelina?
Uh

Yep we eat it just fine.

Jeff, I like the 2 stage, kinda but prefer something with less take up. Like a crisp, 2# Timney.
oh, cool!! I wasn't sure if javelina were something people ate or if they were bad tasting
Well done...Congrats to her !!
You gonna make me buy a timney sooner or later so I can call you a liar I guess. LOL
Munched on some of it tbe other day. Good stuff.
Nice, very well done.
