Anybody used Schwarz Studio Taxidermy in St. Louis for African game? Any other recommendations in the midwest area?

Yes I did once and that was enough! I had a snow white bles buck disappear from that studio and I was given one that was NOT mine, color was roan instead of snow white, with white horns. I saw the hide in the crate the day after it came in to the studio.

Also was given a zebra done that was not mine and the hide had a long slice in the throat area. They stitched it up and it looked like a baseball sewen up. My zebra to be mounted was a very young stallion about 2/3 grown with perfect markings. I was pissed to say the least.

They painted the inside of my Kudu's ears Pink! Kudu do not have pink in their ears......I thought it sucked. No I would not recommend them to anyone.

Two recommendations for you, both in Michigan.

Dennis Harris of The Artistry of Wildlife in Marlette.
www.artistryofwildlife.com
Legends Taxidermy in Ludington.

Both do a helluva lot of african work.
Since your in MO. the World Show of Taxidermy is going on right now.Maybe worth the drive?

Although I've not used Dennis Harris, his work is very good;he is also fast on turn around.
