I am looking for a customs brokerage service in the northern California/Bay area to help me with a trophy shipment from the Republic of South Africa. I will be moving to Roseville next month and will need help from someone on the West Coast. What say you? Thanks...
Hi Gary O,

I was pleased with Coppersmith out of their San Francisco office this year.

Best,

The big Tannery called "New Method" will take in your trophies and handle all Swine and primates as well as tanning.

It's best to involve the taxidermist to be sure he likes or will work with New Method. Taxidermists can be quite finicky about tanning. It's just part of the business that makes or breaks the quality of the mount. I have had great luck with them and have mounted a lot of my animals with their tanning process. They are undoubtedly one of the premier brokers in America, with the advantage of being a tannery as well.

I have also used Coppersmith probably 100 times for my hunters. They are top of the line, but are not a tannery and cannot process the swine and primates themselves if needed.
what about on the east coast?
Coppersmith is the only game in town,

AVOID FLORA AND FAUNA

Unless of course money is no issue for you. They will absolutely rape you every step of the way and then ask for more, and expect you to thank them when you wallet is empty!
Thanks JJ noted
I just used Hunter International Brokerage Services and had a good experience. They are in Pleasanton, Ca. I then had the items shipped to Golden State Taxidermy. I should have the items soon.

Thanks,

Greg
Another thumbs up for Coppersmith's! I have used them on all of my safari's and have never had anything but good results. They have offices at all major ports of entry.

#1 Maria Felix, Hunter International out of Pleasanton. Wade PS: Coppersmiths has always done a good job too.
