It has been a long wait since I booked my airline reservations in June 2013. I am making my list and checking it twice or three times or so.
Where are you heading? Kevin
Exactly 3 months from today and it'll be wheels up for me and my crew!
sigh...... We are 128 days til departure.
Where are you heading? Kevin
Back to South Africa. A few days in Kruger Park and then Nyala hunting in Natal.
48 days and I'm outa here myself.
you guys are all bastards
i really gotta find someone willing to buy a kidney before i get crippled up anymore
Not sure how many days, but headed to South Africa for the first time in Aug. Good luck to you guys heading over before me. I'm taking my older brother as a non-hunter. I went into the military at 17 and have always been the black sheep of the family. I thought this would be a great way to expose him to that which I live for.
Just got back from Burkina Faso on Sunday...took a Nile Buff, Roan, Western Hartebeast, and a Kob. Heading back to Zim in late June for more Buff. Here's my guy from the same area I took last year.

JG, which area did you settle on my man?
98 days until I'm on the way back to Zimbabwe.
Taking my wife, Dad and two daughters on a double buffalo hunt/plains game with a side trip to Vic Falls after the hunting is complete.
Can't wait to see the hell those teenage girls are going to rain down on those poor plainsgame species.

again Chris? that really aint even fair.....im gonna have to talk you into having a "professional" photographer tag along next time
Decided on Namibia....to try and satisfy my lust for a mountain zebra, and try for a big kudu bull. I combined these two trophies(will probably wind up throwing in another trophy of some sort while I'm over there) with a 10 animal cull hunt for game such as Oryx, red hartebeest, springbuck, and blue wildebeest. Lot's of hunting and shooting.
60 days for me. Leave on May 11 for the Eastern Cape.
Good luck and safe travels everyone.

I know, I've got the sickness!!!!!!! It's the Grand Poobah's fault, he got me started!
Damn him! Hope the girls keep the good grades up so I don't have to pay for full tuition in college!
Hope you are well up there in the NE, Sheridan.
Chris. You suck.
Dats all I have to say about that...

Post a report on Burkina Faso if you wouldIve been kinda eyeballing that one..
T-159 for me. Headed to Mozambique.
Now hear this, all of you:
You suck.
This is all.
120 days for me to head to RSA. Do your self a favor and don't wait as late as I did. I just bought my plane ticket last week and there was darn little to choose from. TIckets on Delta are expensive enough but you want economy comfort. I'm flying Las Vegas, Atlanta, JNS, and didn't get the comfort on the atlanta to JNS section. Got it on the way back but it's going to be an exhausting flight. plus I'll be waiting a good part of the day in Atlanta on the way back to Las Vegas. Just makes a long trip longer. I should have taken care of business earlier. But I am really looking forward to this trip. This is my first time. Hopefully not the last.
My tickets were bought in September for my May flight.
Down to 26 days now. Time to start sorting through the gear again.

Yeah, yeah, but only every four years or so. I will take lots of pics. Hopefully even a few with animals.
I'm hunting with Omujeve, two locations; their lodge north of Windhoek and an area south of WHK. 10 days hunting and 1 day at a reserve.

June 11th for my wife and myself
I haven't started counting the days yet but it's just over 8 weeks
I had no idea how much preparation was involved......not to mention $$$$$$
I'm still very excited regardless of the debt I'm stacking up for this trip

One of the things I love about plains game hunting in Africa. My first trip Warthog wasn't even on my list. That is until I saw this one.

believe Boddingtons said though warthogs are very common in lots of places, good-great warthog are very few and far between so when yah see one you prolly better shoot it.....and thats a great warty
I believe Pieter's words to me at the time he spotted it were "if your not going to take him I am".
If we happen to come across another one like that Charles I'm getting it by knife, tire lever or rock!
Looking forward to having you and the Trophy Wife over in little more than a week from now.
Not just animals on the list have a place in the salt
Just about anything the PH tells me is a keeper will be in danger somewhat
